1948 Dodge dump pickup – Like D100/D150

One of a kind, 1-ton pickup dump truck – Like most of the trucks I find – this one came from a farm here in Kansas – and although it sat in a barn for the last 5-10 years, it was set up to be reliable and usable.

As you can see – it was painted, maybe 10 years ago – and although it was not professional, it still has a nice look to it. There is no body filler anywhere, and this truck has very little to no rust – on body, frame, or anywhere else. As this was a farm truck, there are numerous dings and dents that were painted over, but NO RUST. This pickup has been set up with an electric fuel pump, and also has a split exhaust manifold, with true dual exhaust – it sounds really good! It has newer bucket seats that are pretty comfortable, and the glass is in decent shape. As stated earlier, it had sat for a few years, and the master cylinder was leaking pretty bad, so I ordered and installed a new one, so now the brakes work, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if it might need a wheel cylinder or 2 after setting so long.

This pickup is equipped with a PTO powered hydraulic dump bed, and it works fantastic. The bed is going to need some new wood, however, as it has dry rotted over the years.

Simply put, this is a running, driving, operating truck that was put into storage for 10*/- years, so it is going to take a little sorting out, probably a weekend or two of tinkering to have a good driver again.
