This 1991 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado is the kind of truck we all secretly dream about

It has some awesome originality, right down to the loaded interior and fuel-injected V8. Plus, it has all the best period-correct accessories. And yes, the nearly impossibly low odometer is believed to reflect this truck’s actual mileage.

There is just something extra-cool about this Silverado. It’s a reminder of those people in our lives (friends, fathers, grandfathers, etc.) who took the time love a good single cab pickup. You see it all the ways this one was treated with respect, right down to the details, like the clear headlights, clean chrome bumpers, wide side mirrors, and the way the doors close with confidence. And that red paint, even after almost 30 years, still has a nice gloss which has no problem attracting attention to the clean and straight lines of the body. Plus, this one has that unmistakable look of the 1990s country truck where someone had fun with the JC Whitney catalog. There’s a color-matched windshield sun visor with integrated running lights. You have the wind deflector in the front with matching deflectors on the side windows. The long bed has full liner paint and plastic side protectors, so it looks ready for the big jobs (although it’s so clean, it looks like it never made a lumber run it its life.)

Inside is more of that time machine like feeling. The red looks great on the door panels, carpeting, and dash. We particularly like it on the velour seats that have a folding arrest for the driver. Not only did Chevy make the seats easy to get comfortable, but also you have a tilt steering column and full gauges. These Silverados could be optioned with plenty of features, including power windows, power locks, and the factory AM/FM stereo with the unique cassette and equalizer setup separated in the dash. The sliding rear window is there to give you the old-school truck breezes thought the cab that really give you the nostalgic feeling. And whenever that’s not cool enough, the factory air condition is blowing nice and cold.

Just like the rest of the truck, the engine bay has the low-mileage time capsule look. This is the numbers-matching 5.0-liter V8, and a modern classic like this means you also get fuel injection. It fires up with the ease expected of a well-respected FI machine. And cruising is easy with features like power steering and power brakes with front discs. This even has cruise control and a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. So it’s easy to imagine adding a lot of miles to the low odometer.
