A CLASSIC BEAUTY. This Original V-8, 221-cid 85 horsepower, 4 speed manual transmission, 1940 Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup is a RARE Find. 1940 was the first time since 1932 that a Truck shared the style of a car. Ford added the “vee’d” grille, pointed hood and mounted the headlights into the fenders giving these haulers a updated classy look. We have owned it for the past 25 years(most of that time, it has been in storage, not driven). When we purchased this Truck in Colorado, It was painted this gorgeous candy apply/maroon color and the interior was redone to match. The original oak bed was restored and covered with a diamond plate bed. Rims and tires were added. We added an electric fuel pump to make starting easy (have the original pump) and a new battery. Everything else is absolutely ORIGINAL. The body is in great shape, the paint is stunning but does have some scrapes, chips, scratches. The interior is superb. The grille and bumpers are still very nice and well maintained. The windows: driver side -needs to be put back on track, and the passenger side window accidently chipped and cracked by our grandson. See PHOTOS. All easy fixes and a little TLC can make this SHOW ready in no time.
